Priority 1 - All students learn to read well: By June 2024, all students in grades 3-5 achieving mid or above grade level in ELA will increase 10%, from 22% to 32%, as measured by the i-Ready ELA Screening Tool.
By June 2024, all students in grades K-2 achieving at or above benchmark will increase 10%, from 60% to 70% as measured by the Acadience Diagnostic Assessment.
By June 2024, English Language Learners (ELLs) in grades K-2 achieving at or above benchmark in ELA will increase 10%, from 45% to 55%, as measured by the Acadience Diagnostic Assessment.
Priority 2 - All students are physically and emotionally safe: By June 2024, students in grades 3-5 who have been identified as needing instruction in self-management will show a 50% improvement 70% to 35% as measured by the Social Emotional Learning Survey in Self-Management.
Priority 3 - All students have a high-quality academic experience: By June 2024, all students in grades K-5 achieving mid or above grade level in math will increase 10%, from 11% to 21%, in the strands of measurement, numbers and operations, algebraic thinking, and geometry as measured by the iReady Math Screening Tool.
By June 2024, our Hispanic subgroup of students in grades K-5 achieving mid or above grade level in math will increase 10%, from 5% to 15%, as measured by the i-Ready MATH Screening Tool.
Priority 4 - All students graduate college and career ready and have a strong plan and pathway to economic security: By June 2024, performance in the three dimensions of NGLS , for students in grades 3-5, will increase 10%, from 50% to 60%, as measured by New York State Science Investigations Rubrics.
Priority 5 -All districts and schools are more inclusive and responsive for parents and families, including having more families choose NYC Public Schools: By June 2024, all families that report having enough academic support for their child will increase 20% from 60% to 80% as measured by school-created survey.
Section 5- Chronic Absenteeism By June 2024, the Hispanic population of chronically absent students in grades K-5 will decrease 10%, from 17% to 7%, as measured by the Chronic Absenteeism Rate. By June 2024, the percentage of chronically absent students in grades Pre-K through 2nd grade will decrease 10%, from 29% to 19%, as measured by the Chronic Absenteeism Rate.
